As a personal branding and headshots photographer, I get the amazing opportunity to work with so many realtors and partner with them to achieve their real estate marketing goals through visual imagery. They realize the power personal branding headshots in the real estate business. These are what I refer to as the “007 Secret Agents” that are getting out there and shaking things up. They are formulating a proactive marketing strategy and developing an online presence. The power of proactive marketing has been a game changer for their business and could be for yours. The worst thing is to finally put your marketing out there, only to find out that some of your friends and sphere of influence have recently bought or sold a home. They could (and probably would) have been one of your best clients . . . if only they had you top of mind. In today’s world, you can’t sit and hope and pray people come to you. Right now more than ever, you need to have a proactive strategy versus a reactive strategy when it comes to your marketing.

Proactive marketing is to put yourself out there and separate you from the crowd. Reactive marketing is sitting around hanging out and hoping people will come to you. That is the old way of doing business. Our world has changed and the business environment no longer operates on a Field of Dreams mentality. If you simply build it, they won’t show up knocking on your door wanting to do business with you.
