Hello!  I’m Shelly Niehaus and am a Boise, Idaho-based photographer that partners with businesses to tell their stories through high-quality imagery.  I recently moved to Boise after spending all of my life in Texas.  My husband and I met our senior year at Texas A&M and we are both die-hard Aggies. College football is king at our house!  We got married three years after college and have 14-year-old twin boys.  A few of my favorite things include tacos, Texas BBQ, paddle boarding, hiking, camping, George Straight, and watching Yellowstone.  We love living in the mountains and traveling to the beach.  It is through travel that I discovered my love for street and landscape photography.

Photography is a way for me to slow down and look for God’s fingerprints in everyday life.  Picking up my camera requires me to be present and in the moment. As any mom will tell you, childhood goes quickly and I can feel it slipping through my fingers as each year passes.  I want to remember all of the love + joy in our season of life.  Most of all I want my twin boys to look back and remember that they were loved very much. If you still want to know more you can check out my personal Instagram and see what we have been up to lately.

Cheers,

Shelly Niehaus

MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

SIMPLE

I am a minimalist at heart.  I love clean lines and natural backgrounds.  I keep props to a minimum because I want you to be the focus of the image.

GENUINE

"Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things."  I see God's holy fingerprints in the every day. . .  real moments and honest connections.  As your storyteller, I will tell your personal story. I do this by doing a deep dive into your brand and what makes you unique.

JOYFUL

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24  I love to encourage clients to see the joy in their in their own lives.  My hope is to encourage others to be filled with gratitude and live in the moment.  Bright colors, joyful laughter, and quiet contentment are just some of the ways I am inspired to capture joy in photography.
