Today I am sharing posing tips for teen photography sessions and its all about incorporating motion! In addition, I am going to introduce you to the next beautiful model in our High School Bound Sessions, Maddie.

Posing tips are important in teen photography genre as it can be hard for this age group to relax in front of the camera. This is a time when many girls are feeling self-conscious about themselves.

Now it’s time to meet Maddie!

Posing Tips for Tween Photography Sessions + Meet Maddie

1. Who’s your favorite band or solo artist? My favorite solo artist right now is probably Ariana Grande, I don’t usually listen to her a lot but I love her music.

2. What do you see yourself doing in 5 years? 10 years? In 5-10 years I see myself in college either working on medical school or crime scene work.

3. What do you enjoy doing for fun? For fun I love to model, I started modeling a little while ago and I absolutely love it, I feel like I can let out my inner diva in it.

4. What is your favorite thing to do outdoors? My favorite thing to do outdoors is either riding horses or swimming, horses have always been my favorite animal and I love to swim.

5. What makes you laugh? The thing that makes me laugh the most is probably when my friends tell me jokes or just pull a string in me. It’s also hilarious when my dad tries to make me laugh and I end up laughing anyway.

6. What subjects in school do you enjoy learning about? The subject that I enjoy the most is most likely anything to do with the human body or how it works, it’s fascinating to see how the human body works.

7. When you have free time what do you enjoy doing? In the free time, I love to use my own Canon camera and take photos of either nature or my Boston Terrier Penny.

8. What’s your favorite book? My favorite book is Everything Everything by Nicole Yoon.

9. Do you have a role model? My role model is probably Rachel Platten, I met her a while ago and I love the messages in her music.

10. What family/friend activities and events do you enjoy? The family activity that I probably most enjoy is our yearly family reunion. I love seeing and catching up with my family.

11. What sports/hobbies interest you? Some of my hobbies include singing, acting, musical theater, and photography. Sports include swim.

12. What would be your perfect day? My perfect day would include riding horses up a beach and spending the rest of the day with my friends, family, and my dog.

13. What are you most looking forward to in high school? The thing I am most looking forward to about high school is having more freedom and getting to try things that I have never tried before.

14. What is your favorite memory from middle school? My favorite memory is that I made so many amazing friends that I hope will continue to stay friends with me. I had so many fun events happen such as my musical, a San Antonio and Huston trip, and even my play were I played a starring role.

15. What was your favorite part of your model session with Shelly Niehaus Photography? My favorite part of the model session was that we got to show our real personality and Shelly was so flexible on what we couldn’t and what we could do, plus it was so fun!
