The senior year is a special time in a family’s life. It is a time when the senior is focusing on so many lasts but also experiencing many firsts. As a parent you see a glimpse of the child they once were while staring at the young woman or man that they are becoming. As a senior photographer can only imagine all of the feelings that a mom is going through in that season. This is why I encourage seniors to bring their mom, dad or entire family to session. I also do combined family + senior sessions for senior boys!

In every senior session I make sure to get a photo of them with Mom. Sometimes I have to do a little convincing for Mom. I explain that this is for her daughter or son and not for her. Those sweet photos wind up being a family favorite EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I usually get a message from Mom thanking me for that cherished photo. A photo that captured the love and connection of a senior and their family.
