I’m so excited to feature my son’s twelfth birthday lacrosse portraits at the Prosper Silos on the blog today. Every year, I try to do something fun and exciting for each of my boys on their birthday. Being twins, I feel it’s super important to give them their own identity and allow them to do something unique that showcases their individual personalities.
Lacrosse Portraits with your Buddies!
This year, Aiden wanted his birthday shoot to be all about his buddies and his lacrosse team! He’s played Prosper lacrosse since he was in first grade, and he has been a goalie for the PYSA youth team since third grade. Many of these boys have played together throughout the years and also attend Middle school together! We wanted to keep the photo shoot fun and lighthearted, so we decided to meet in downtown Prosper at the silos and take advantage of its boy friendly industrial location. They loved goofing off, playing in the rocks and planning the different poses. They actually liked being the center of attention. Who knew boys could like photo shoots so well?

Their favorite part of the lacrosse portraits was at the end of the shoot, when we did the silhouettes. I gave them free rein and told them they could do anything they want! They came up with these amazing ideas for these silhouette shots. I love that these photos feature the boys and their personalities and all of the dynamic energy that they have as a group. I hope that they look back on these photos in 30 years, and remember what an amazing time they had as sixth grade boys in middle school and dreaming of playing for the collage and high school lacrosse teams.
Thanks to all the moms who met me out there for the shoot and corralling this group! You all gave Aiden one of his best birthday presents to date . . . a photo shoot with his buddies!
