The Dallas Clickin Moms Photo Walk
The biggest surprise in my journey as a family photographer and senior photographer is finding a community of fellow artists that will cheer you along and help you on your journey. I was able to spend time with my tribe at the Dallas Clicking Moms Photo Walk this past Sunday. In 2014 I found such a community through the Dallas Clickin Moms Group. Clickin Moms is an online community of women around the world who are photographers and artists dedicated to supporting other photographers through education and opportunities to connect/meet-up. Each year they host local Clickin Walks around the world. This year the Dallas group decided to do our walk in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. This is the third year I’ve participated in such an event and it’s amazing to meet so many wonderful photographers and connect with other women. We spent the morning walking the streets of the Bishop Art District, gawking at all the beautiful colors and having fun photographing others’ children, models, and just all of the fun sights along the way.
Discovering The Bishop Arts District
I’ve never been to the Bishop Arts District, and honestly I was blown away by all the beautiful colors. Color is such and important piece of a photograph for me. I was amazed by how many opportunities I had to just capture the beauty of all the color around me. We will definitely be back, and most likely with several clients in the coming months, so stay posted for more photos from this beautiful area that is new to me, and for anyone who is an artist in the Dallas area looking to join a community, I highly suggest you look at Clickin Moms and I also would love to see you next year in the 2020 Clickin Walk.
