Urban locations are perfect for families with tweens and teens.
Urban locations are one of my favorite places to shoot a family session. They provide so much visual interest and it makes a great option for families with older kids, tweens and teens. Due to the amount of distractions, traffic and other factors it is not ideal for the littles, however my families with older kids ROCK these urban sessions. They are fun, energetic and allow these kids to show off their personalities.
Urban locations provide lots of color + texture for a family session.
My favorite thing about this family session was all of the color. The store fronts, flowers, and buildings are all exploding with different colors and textures. Color and texture is the first thing that I look for in an urban setting. This mama did an amazing job choosing outfits that tie in vibrant colors to compliment the urban setting. Fun colors lend to a light hearted + carefree mood which is the essence of my family sessions. I want you to remember the joy in your family and this season of life so I work to create those moments in your session.
Urban locations provide a large variety for environmental portraits.
Finally an urban location adds so much in variety to compliment your environmental portraits. Lines, twinkling lights and reflections are just a few. There are also a ton of posing aides such as stairs, walls and benches to variety in your photo gallery. The possibilities here are endless and I could shoot this location 10 different was to make each session and unique as your family
