Hey y’all. Today I’m featuring one of my favorite families and favorite types of sessions, adoption photography. I’m pleased to show you these beautiful images of our dear friends Annie and Nick, and their journey to adopt a little boy, Oliver, from China.
Their Adoption Story
We’ve know Annie and Nick for about eight years since we joined the same small group at church. We’ve walked so many roads together as families. Purchasing new houses, moves, job changes and all of the curve balls that life throws your way. When they told us they were feeling led to adopt two years ago, it was such a sweet time, and we’ve walked this journey with them throughout the process.
Last summer they flew to China and met their new son, Oliver. We watched every step of their journey through Instagram and Facebook and all of us gathered together at the airport to welcome little Oliver home when they landed. My boys, who are typical boys and don’t really embrace anything baby like, fell in love with little Oliver from the very moment they saw him. Soon they too asked when we could adopt our own little boy from China.
Adoption Photography Sessions
One of my biggest honors as a family photographer was to take their first family photos as a new family of five. Little Oliver had so much fun running and playing and jumping. As you can tell from these images he is truly one of the happiest children I have ever seen. He put on a constant show for us during the entire session! His older siblings are absolutely smitten with him and Oliver and his big brother share a special bond, that I see in my own boys eyes.
I love seeing Oliver’s story and the happy ending for both the Seeman family and his journey from China to the United States. I hope these pictures will be a special joy for them to have for generations to come and Oliver will always remember how much is truly known and seen and loved and a part of their family. Welcome little Oliver. We’re so glad to have you in our group.
