Winter sessions are hard here in North Texas which is why I am loving this beautiful urban + nature portrait session from January. This young lady rocked her winter senior session and was a trooper with the crazy rain, clouds and occasional wind.
The Texas winds are no joke between the months of December – March. While we are lucky to have some warmer days mixed in with the colder temps, the wind is always in the back of my mind. These warmer days usually are accompanied by a really strong south wind. The crazy Texas weather combined with brown fields and bare trees is why I love to take my clients to a more urban setting. This particular day we were battling rain + cold and the session had been rescheduled once. We decided to go for it and chose to utilize an urban setting. Taking to the streets allowed us to incorporate a pop of color, a variety of textures and gorgeous architectural lines. I always aim for my clients to have a variety of poses and backgrounds when selecting their final images.
Fortunately this day the clouds parted about 45 min before sunset setting us up for a potentially beautiful sunset. We took advantage of it and worked in a nearby field for her final images. I love how the multiple locations and flexibility really helped us work through a tougher weather session. Congrats Morgan on your senior year and you rocked this session.
